Elizabeth Vlahopoulos, Biography

Elizabeth Vlahopoulos founded, and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of, Tower Maintenance Corp, a woman-owned independent Painting and Contractor dedicated to the government, public and utility sector. She is an experienced and accomplished administrator and business owner, with substantial knowledge in the areas of contracts, project management, field supervision and safety; and an avid supporter of diverse businesses.

Ms. Vlahopoulos has been in the construction industry for over 18 years. She was inspired by her mother who was also a WBE in the construction industry. After helping to run her mother’s company from 1992-1997, she moved to the painting industry. When the company she was with dissolved, Ms. Vlahopoulos decided to create her own company, Tower Maintenance Corp.

Ms. Vlahopoulos holds her C3 Supervisor training certification and completed the Construction Management-Contract Administration course at Baruch College. She oversees the day-to-day operations for her growing, national-reaching business, and also plays the leading role in the companies’ business development. Her perseverance, creativity and positive attitude enabled her to create a successful business enterprise. Under her direction, her company’s revenues reached $2.1 million in its first year, grew to $2.5 million in 2009, and in 2010, she entered into a $10.8 million dollar contract for the Brooklyn Bridge Ramp Rehabilitation project.

Since discovering a renewed sense of pride and freedom in owning her own company, Ms. Vlahopoulos has devoted herself to creating opportunities for others after her own experience within the barriers of being a minority.
